1/07 – 1/08 ABB:Con-Cise - Manager of Application Development
Came into a troubled department and made progress in both hiring a new staff, creating processes and fixing the corporate website. We re-architected the company's consumer web site launching it in October of 2007 and within one month increasing sales 50%. During the development period I contributed as a developer as well as managing. During that period we were also able to stabilize our communication infrastructure which exchanged transaction data with our business partners and reduce down time significantly.
3/03 – 6/06 Transeastern Homes – Director of Application Systems
As the Director of Application Systems at Transeastern Homes, a large residential homebuilder with five divisions throughout Florida, responsible for leading a team of developers and analysts in analyzing software needs, determining appropriate solutions, developing custom software, integrating solutions with existing applications and coordination of training.
· Designed and led development of a multi-tier web based Quality Assurance application for community customer service representatives.
· Created a contract generation system for use at community launch events which resulted in over $100 Million. All custom systems were developed with ASP.NET, C# and SQL Server 2000.
· Responsible for the customization and implementation of a customer relationship management system designed for the homebuilder industry. The system is written in Java and JSP using a JBoss application server.
· Developed a financial reporting suite for senior management.
· Enhanced a COS scheduling application by creating additional reports and data entry screens.
· Defined a SDLC process for developing software applications within the company.
· Developed a reporting system using SQL Server Integration Services and SQL Server Analysis Server.
3/02 – 3/03 Contract Projects
WebGekko (1/02-2/03)
Developed a system to transfer data from a file based system to a database. Created the system with C# using SQL Server 2000 as the back end.
Dynamic System Solutions (9/02 – 1/03)
Analyzed requirements and developed tools for integrating an Access application with QuickBooks. Worked with senior management to determine financial accounting reporting requirements. Used an XML based SDK to analyze accounting data to QuickBooks and update Access with QuickBooks data.
VP&A (5/02-9/02)
Converted the back end of an executive recruiting application to SQL Server 200. Analyzed data discrepancies between the old Paradox database and SQL Server data definitions. Worked with the client to develop plans for testing and deployment.
WebGekko (3/02-4/02)
Developed a web site using an ASP application for a marketing company association with Ford. Created a database driven web site using SQL Server 2000 as the back end.
10/00 – 12/01 Allin Corp. – Solution Manager
As the Software Solution Manager, was responsible for all software development for the Allin Interactive business unit. Allin Interactive specialized in developing interactive TV solutions for the cruise line and hospital markets. Allin's solutions were browser based, e-commerce capable, database applications using Microsoft technologies (e.g. ASP, NT, MTS, MSMQ, VB) as well as industry standards such as JavaScript and DHTML. My responsibilities encompassed project management, technology directions, defining standards for software development processes, developing existing client business, defining new projects with clients and recruiting developers.
· Responsible for the development of a defect tracking/ change management system to support processes defined for the software development life cycle.
· Responsible as overall project manager to design and develop an interactive TV system for all five of Carnival Corporations cruise lines, planned for deployment on 47 ships. Worked with senior management to develop requirements for the system and oversee technical design effort. The interactive TV system uses web-based technologies interfacing with a variety of back end accounting systems. Generated project plans, budgets, and defined a changed management process.
· Worked with the Royal Caribbean, previously deemed a “problem account”, to gain their confidence in Allin as an application development resource and was able to significantly increased business. I oversaw the development of several “fast track” systems including: a Reservation System, a Departure application and several applications which monitor database activity of other applications.

Citibank, NYC. NY 6/98 – 10/00
Overall project was a global effort to re-engineer Citibank's commercial banking software into an Internet product family.
· Responsible as project leader for selection, customization and deployment of a requirements management software package, DOORS, which was adopted for this project. Managed a team of requirement managers in customizing the package for Citibank's needs, developing a new model of defining project requirements, coordinating with testing and development to integrate the product and new processes into the end to end development process, training users and planning the global rollout of the tool.
· Project manager for all infrastructure requirement projects that define the Java platform for CitiDirect. Applications included security, auditing, workflow, scheduling and UI Style. Coordinated with business and technology how changes in infrastructure would be rolled out to existing applications.
· Responsible for working on an interdepartmental team to improve software development life cycle processes. Efforts focused on improving coordination and traceability between the business units, requirements maintenance, testing and development.
Lack & Daily, Westport, CT, 5/98 – 3/2000
Developed an Executive Recruiting System to track candidates, job openings, billing / receivables, and provide search capability to match candidates to jobs. The system was based on an earlier DOS system we developed for the client.
Community Care Applications, Madison, WI, 4/95 - 4/98
CareManager - Had primary responsibility for the technical development of the CareManager family of products. This included project management, functional specifications, system design, and system development. CareManager provided case management and financial management tools for systems of care dealing with children and adolescents with serious emotional disturbances. Responsible for coordinating support services, training and program customization for all sites. Established installations in Michigan, New York, Illinois, Wisconsin and Ohio. The primary development tools were Delphi and Paradox.
United States Guaranty Corporation, Westport, CT, 1/98 - 5/98
· EasyCap 2.0 - Worked with the principals to design and develop a system supporting a new banking instrument providing loan caps for variable rate business loans. Analyzed functional requirements for both front and back office operations, worked with participating banks to develop user interfaces, technical documentation and programming.

· Sales Forecasting System - Worked with IS and a team of users to develop functional requirements for a Sales Forecasting System that allows sales people to forecast sales by customer and item specifications.
· Capital Project Planning System - Created a Capital Project Planning System tracking capital projects from planning, budgeting, appropriation request to spending. The system supports multiple budget versions, creates sophisticated variance analysis, compared spending against budget and original plans.
· Customer Database - Developed a Customer database tracking customer information, preferences, status, etc. It allows integration with MS Word.
· A Sales / Marketing Wizard which integrates a database driven marketing plan template as a wizard in MS Word. Developed with Delphi and VBA.
